What is The Portal Downtown board games and custom soda?

The Portal is a place where people can connect screen-free over tabletop games to create memorable moments with family and friends while enjoying a custom soda.

Do you charge a fee for playing games?

We charge a nominal fee to play games, similar to a bowling alley. The fee is charged per person and it includes access to our curated library of games to play. The cost is $5 for all-day play. Children under two are free. 
 

Do you offer food and drinks?

Our main feature is our custom sodas. We tried a lot of recipes and a few made it to our list of signature drinks. We also have popcorn salad as well as snacks that are board game friendly. Is The Portal suitable for children?

We are family-friendly and offer games for children. We have a dedicated room for families. We have a selection of games for pre-schoolers, elementary school students, middle schoolers, and teens. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. 
 

What types of games do you have available to play?

We have a wide variety of board games available, including classic games like Monopoly and Scrabble, as well as newer games like Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Pandemic. We also have lesser-known games, strategy games, party games, and more. We actually have our list on BoardGameGeek. We are constantly adding to our curated collection. 
 

Where can I park?

Parking is available adjacent to The Portal in spaces we shared with Bayside Rentals where we are co-located. There is also public parking next-door at Destination Panama City as well as 2-hour spaces on Government Street. In addition, there is lots of public parking in Historic Downtown Panama City and it is very walkable. 
 

Do you sell games?

Our retail game selection focuses on travel-sized games. We also carry popular modern big-box board games, puzzles, and game-related items and accessories. Prices range from $6 to $60, with most items around $15 to 20. This collection will continue to grow based on your feedback and preferences. Can I bring my own games to the Portal?

You can bring your own games. However, you will still be required to pay the game fee. 
 

Do you have private rooms?
